Same. Never thought I'd be this eager to bet ON Brandon Weeden. Though, it's more a play on Houston's defense and how bad Zach Mettenberger is.

Only part I'm waiting on is the under! Brandon weeden and zach mettenberger??? Score might be 7-3 Houston... And the 7 is a defensive touchdown.

True. However, DeAndre Hopkins can light up the scoreboard no matter who the QB is.

He's really bad. I'm more afraid of Weeden singlehandedly losing the game, though.

Haha Mettenberger didn't look too bad in the Pats game though and they are home...something to think about but if your confident in the play go for it!

somewhat true. He hasn't been such a hot commodity lately. But he has the capabilities. I just don't think weeden is that guy to score..lol. He had a great o-line and dez Bryant and he couldn't even conjure up 1 win..lol. I doubt he scores much. But it's possible.

Houston will open at -4 to -4 1/2. In a game where points may be at a premium, giving more than 3 points can be dangerous.

Ten? You've got Brandon Weeden laying ten points on the road against an nfl team?

I had it as Houston -4. People don't want to bet Weeden - they can't make it too high. At the same time, the Titans suck really bad, so they can't make it 3 or lower.

It's a game where Houston's defense should outscore Tennessee's offense. Houston ML seems good here. Having watched Brandon Weeden earlier this year and rooting for him as a Cowboys fan, he's GREAT at playing not to lose. That's all Houston needs.

This is unreal. It's Thursday, Christmas Eve.. not a creature was stirring
not even a Vegas oddsmaker.
They are setting up to release this line Christmas Day when nobody is watching
except those who have been told to pound it before the public who will wait
until Saturday.
This is like a conspiracy.

I wouldn't bet against Mariota in this spot but Mettenberger doesn't faze me. If he burns me, so be it.

Haha no - just saying that if the Titans had Mariota, I wouldn't bet Houston with Weeden, since I'm not sure the defense alone could win the game for them.

Houston controls their own destiny but needs to win.
If Houston loses, they face Jax for what would be do or die (Jax or Indy would bump them)
Houston playing Weeden who is a vet with good control.
Tennessee is starting a very iffy backup qb against a solid pass d/pass rush.
I think Houston will win by 2 or more possessions.
I don't understand why it is only -4 area.

just put 100 on Houston -5.5 at plus odds.
every cbs expert says Houston covers.
will be interesting to see where this line closes.
I don't want to buy to -3
if they only win by a FG my whole thesis is off.

I think this is a really good spot for the Titans. Coming off of two ugly road losses against two of the best teams they played all year. Now they're back at home against a mediocre Texans team. They already proved they can completely shut down the Texans run game in the first meeting this year, so there's a good chance Weeden will have to beat them. That's going to be tough. With DGB starting to be a factor and Kendall Wright back in the lineup, the Titans offense has the potential to put up some points. Also, the Texans won the first meeting by sacking Mettenberger 7 times and winning the turnover battle 3-0... I don't see that happening again.
I'm either going to take the Titans with the points or go with Texans under the team total, whatever that number ends up being.

Before you bet on Houston, take a second and put the game in perspective. This line, WITH BRANDON WEEDEN AS THE STARTING QUARTERBACK, would be Houston -9.5 or -10 if the game was in Houston. That's absurd.
When the Carolina Panthers traveled to Tennessee, they closed as -3.5 favorites. Now we have the Brandon Weeden led Texans at the same line, and the whole world is jumping on board? And don't tell me about Mariotta being out. It's not like he's some pro bowl stud qb. He's a decent rookie. Besides, the drop off from Mariotta to Mettenberger is nowhere near the drop off from Hoyer to Weeden.
