WRs Harvin, Tate tested positive for pot
Just what the NFL needs more of.

Alex Marvez of Foxsports.com has reported the draft stock of Percy Harvin and Brandon Tate has taken a hit.

Two sources told FOXSports.com that both wide receivers tested positive for marijuana in February at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.

Before the test results became official, Harvin was considered a potential first-round pick after leaving the University of Florida following his junior season. Tate was projected as a first or second rounder after a solid college career at North Carolina.

Just what players need more of. A business telling them what they can and can't do in private, even if it has no effect on the business operation.

Smoking marijuana is against the law. Not really a corporate thing, more of a societal and governmental thing.

It's really a shame that so many athletes are getting busted with drugs. It really shows how many of them take what they have for granted.

Who cares.....it's only weed. I'd be willing to bet 85% of the people in the United States have puffed on a left handed cigarette at some point in their life, including the last 3 presidents (probably the last 20). They are all hypocrites, Roger Goodell grew up in the 70's so I know he has experienced with it at some point in his life. Harvin is only 20 and Tate is 21 years old, so they are obviously still growing up. Cocaine, Heroin, LSD, etc. is a different situation, although weed is also in that same category listed as a drug it shouldn't be. Weed does nothing but make people lazy and hungry, if these guys would rather smoke then play football I could care less. I'd choose smoking a blunt anyday of the week over getting laid out by a 6'3 260 pound linebacker.

These guys knew the rules and did it anyway. If they can't show enough will power to stay away from the bush before draft time, then they deserve to lose the cheese they would have gotten with a higher draft position.
