NYJ (-3) @ Dal....Trap or Easy Money???

Really trying to find a reason *not* to put a boatload of money on the Jets this week.

Nick Mangold and Fitzpatrick are just about fully healthy again. Match-ups across the board favor the Jets. The Jets are a long shot from getting into the playoffs but are not eliminated yet, so they have much more to play for.

Dallas sucks. Dez Bryant is having a terrible year and Matt Cassell is just pathetic. McFadden is having a great impact in reviving Dallas' running game, but the Jets stop the run extremely well. Dallas also has a very poor record covering at home.

I just look at this game and I am reminded of the silliness that the Carolina / Dallas game was, where the Cowboys actually opened as favorites, only to be blown out. Obviously, the Jets aren't in the same league as Carolina, but have proven to be a decent team this year when healthy.

Only thing that has me scared is because it seems like such an easy play, and the public is going bonkers pounding the Jets. However, sometimes the square side is the right side.

I would. Jets are by far, the better team. Better defense (due to Dallas defensive injuries), much better offense ( due to useless casell). What kind of edge could Dallas possibly have? And the jets still have a shot in the playoffs. Dallas is done.

The number is a couple points high. This would probably be -6 or -7 in New York. I'm not saying Dallas is the play, I just don't see any value on the Jets. Also, we're overdue for Fitzpatrick to have a Fitzpatrick game.

Can we all think back to a couple weeks ago when the AZ vs STL line fell all the way to -3.5?? Everybody on here was scared to take AZ because it had to be a trap... What happened then?

That line was a gift and those who didn't overthink themselves out of a bet, cashed in nice. I'm using the same mentality here as well and not overthinking it. Jets played pathetically... A missed PAT and FG, got stuffed at 4th and 1 near Dallas's endzone, and committed numerous drive killing penalties... And still pushed. Not happy at all, they shoulda had this game easy...but I guess it's better than a loss.

Any time there are 85-90% of the bets on one side in a primetime game, bet against the action or pass. Especially after last weeks PT games. Pats sun night and nyg mon night were real bad. If money was for free in the nfl everybody would be winners. Two more tmrw and Mon. Arz and NO are both lopsided

You would think with all the money these teams throw at players they would have reliable back up QB's. Look what happened to Zona last year after Palmer went down. Same thing when Rodgers got hurt a couple of years ago. Osweiler got his clock cleaned last week in Denver.

The NFL has a serious lack of QBs right now, the best you can expect from them is to manage the game. I'd argue Osweiler has been pretty good in that regard, and in some facets has been an upgrade over Manning in some areas. He does hold onto the ball too damn long though.
