BAL - QB Joe Flacco has extensive knee damage

    Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (knee) said he tore the anterior and medial collateral ligaments in his knee in Week 11, although he has yet to have an MRI exam. Flacco is expected to miss the rest of the year, and it'll be the first time he has missed a game since being drafted in 2008. Flacco had started 122 straight games, which was the fifth-longest streak in NFL history.

Horrible news for the Ravens here. Flacco's knee may not be ready by the time training camp starts next year. That means he could start the season on the shelf, and possibly on the PUP list. In the meantime, the Ravens will trudge through the rest of this season with Matt Schaub as their starter.

DEN - WR Emmanuel Sanders has high-ankle sprain

Source: The Denver Post - Cameron Wolfe
Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) is dealing with a high-ankle sprain. Sanders hopes to play in Week 12, and added that Monday, Nov. 23, was the first day he didn't limp since suffering the injury. Sanders will be evaluated Wednesday, Nov. 25, according to head coach Gary Kubiak.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

High-ankle sprains can linger if not given enough time to heal. The Broncos are taking it easy on Sanders with the idea that he can perhaps be available against the Patriots in Week 12. If Sanders doesn't play, then we'd see more from Cody Latimer again.

SEA - RB Marshawn Lynch visiting with specialist

    Source: Seahawks.com - John Boyle

Updating a previous report, Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch (abdomen) is traveling to meet with a specialist Monday, Nov. 23, after sitting out with an abdominal injury in Week 11.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

There is fear that he's dealing with a sports hernia, which would require surgery and keep him out for the rest of the regular season. The Seahawks had planned to have Lynch visit with a specialist even before he missed the last game. If by some miracle Thomas Rawls is out there, then pick him up.

CAR - QB Cam Newton makes history

    Source: NFL Network

Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton is the first player in NFL history to throw 100 touchdowns and rush for 25 touchdowns in his first five NFL seasons.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Newton is a strong candidate for league MVP. We love watching what he's doing this year.

CHI - RB Matt Forte with limited practice

    Source: ChicagoBears.com
Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte (knee) was limited in practice Monday, Nov. 23. However, the Bears didn't actually practice Monday, so Forte's designation is an estimation.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Bears play on Thanksgiving against the Packers. The game is at Lambeau, so getting Forte back would boost the Bears offense. With the way that Jeremy Langford has played, we could see Forte get used a bit less than his normal workload (if he plays) against the Packers.

NYJ - QB Ryan Fitzpatrick will start

    Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Rich Cimini

New York Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick will remain the starter in Week 12 against the Miami Dolphins, according to head coach Todd Bowles.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The team needs to get back on the winning track, and Fitzpatrick is still going to be their leader. If Fitzpatrick struggles and the team can't win going forward, then perhaps we'd see Geno Smith inserted as the starter.

DEN - Two players will be evaluated

Source: The Denver Post - Cameron Wolfe

Denver Bronocs DE DeMarcus Ware (back) and OG Evan Mathis (hamstring) will be evaluated Wednesday, Nov. 25, according to head coach Gary Kubiak.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Getting Ware back for the game against Tom Brady and the Patriots in Week 12 would be huge. Mathis was a "name" signing for the Broncos back in training camp, but the veteran has not played well this season.

BAL - RB Justin Forsett should be ready for '16

    Source: WNST

Baltimore Ravens RB Justin Forsett (arm) should return for the offseason program in 2016, according to head coach John Harbaugh. There are no concerns for his long-term availability.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That's the silver lining here. Forsett emerged last year as a quality starter for the Ravens, and now we'll have to wait to see him in 2016.

HOU - QB Brian Hoyer will start

    Source: HoustonTexans.com

Houston Texans QB Brian Hoyer (concussion) will start in Week 12 after passing his final concussion test, according to head coach Bill O'Brien.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

T.J. Yates goes back to the bench. Hoyer isn't a great starter in standard leagues, but he passes the ball at an incredible rate (and has DeAndre Hopkins) so that makes him a startable option in 2QB/QB-flex leagues.

NYJ - WR Devin Smith draws ire of coach

Source: New York Daily News - Manish Mehta

New York Jets WR Devin Smith had four targets and no catches in the Week 11 loss to the Houston Texans, and head coach Todd Bowles was not happy with Smith afterwards. 'Our rookies have got to stop being rookies,' Bowles said when asked about Smith. 'They need to grow up. They get paid like everybody else and they've got to start acting like they're not in college anymore.'

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Smith was a deep target at Ohio State, and he's got the speed to get by defenders. However, he was also known for dropping plenty of passes. It seems like that inconsistency has carried over to the pros.

SD - QB Philip Rivers has worst game

Source: The Kansas City Star - Terez A. Paylor

San Diego Chargers QB Philip Rivers was 19-for-30 for a season-low 178 yards passing in the team's Week 11 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's rock bottom for the Chargers after they lost to the Chiefs 33-3 at home on Sunday. We'll see how they bounce back--if they can bounce back--this week against the Jaguars (in Jacksonville).

PHI - RB Ryan Mathews out of practice

Source: The Philadelphia Inquirer - Jeff McLane

Philadelphia Eagles RB Ryan Mathews (concussion) is in the concussion protocol and out of practice Monday, Nov. 23.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

He'll need to be cleared before he can return to action. The Eagles play on Thanksgiving against the Lions.

PHI - TE Zach Ertz has short week

Source: The Delaware County Times - Bob Grotz

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (concussion) is in the concussion protocol, and his status is uncertain for Week 12 Thursday, Nov. 26. He has been cleared for meetings.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

If Ertz can't play on Thanksgiving against the Lions, then we'll see more of Brent Celek.

DEN - QB Peyton Manning to change uniforms?

    Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Mike Florio

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning (foot) is 'absolutely determined' to get himself healthy, a source with knowledge of the situation said Sunday, Nov. 22. Manning firmly believes he will be able to play again this season. In addition, he currently intends to play in 2016, even if it will not be with the Broncos, the source said.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This 'report' has been refuted by reliable local reporters. According to guys on the beat, Manning is only focused on returning this season and is not thinking of next year. The Broncos won and looked good with Brock Osweiler as their starter. We could see Osweiler earn more starts with his performance. Osweiler actually runs the true Kubiak offense, and he didn't turn the ball over. Week 11 was the first time the Broncos didn't turn the ball over in 2015.

GB - WR James Jones breaks out of slump

    Source: The Associated Press

Green Bay Packers WR James Jones had six catches for 109 yards and a touchdown in a 30-13 win over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 11.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jones had a sideline touchdown catch and Aaron Rodgers was at his best throwing to his most experienced receiver. He's back in play as a boom/bust WR3/Flex on Thanksgiving against the Bears.

GB - RB Eddie Lacy show signs of life

    Source: The Associated Press

Green Bay Packers RB Eddie Lacy had 22 carries for a season-high 100 yards and one catch for six yards in a 30-13 win over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 11.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Lacy was back, running over tacklers and dragging them for extra yards. He's a good play against the weak Bears run defense on Thanksgiving.
