DEN - QB Peyton Manning out

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning (foot) will not play this weekend as he recovers from a partially torn plantar fascia. Furthermore, Manning will not practice this week as he receives treatment. He will be re-evaluated in one week.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This injury might last for some time. A partially torn plantar fascia is more painful than a fully torn one, and the recovery time is usually long. We could see Manning miss significant time due to this foot injury, and that would make Brock Osweiler the starter for most of the rest of the regular season.

    NO - Rob Ryan fired

    Source: FOXSports.com - Alex Marvez

New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Rob Ryan was fired Monday, Nov. 16, according to two sources.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Nobody should be surprised by this. The Saints "Oprah" defense (you get a TD, you get a TD, EVERYONE gets a TD) was the worst in the league. After getting hammered by Washington on Sunday, something had to change. We'll see if the Saints can play better after their bye in Week 11.

NYG - WR Victor Cruz out for season

    Source: FOXSports.com - Mike Garafolo

New York Giants WR Victor Cruz (calf) announced he's having season-ending surgery on his left calf and will miss the rest of the season.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The knee injury was fine, then Cruz hurt his calf and now he's lost for the season. It's a sad way for Cruz to end this year. We were hoping that somehow/someway we could see a salsa dance or two in 2015.

NE - WR Julian Edelman to have surgery

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (foot) will have surgery Monday, Nov. 16, to repair a broken bone in his foot, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Edelman could return to the field later in the year, and the Patriots are hopeful he's able to do so. In the meantime, we'll see more from Danny Amendola. He's built similarly to Edelman, and they can both work the underneath routes for Tom Brady. Amendola is a valuable player as we consider him at least a low-end WR2/flex play while Edelman is out.

CLE - Cleveland not ready to name QB

    Source: ESPN.com - Pat McManamon

Cleveland Browns head coach Mike Pettine said he is not ready to say if QB Johnny Manziel or QB Josh McCown will be the starting quarterback. Pettine said the coaching staff will discuss the decision during the bye week.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

What do they have to lose? The Browns aren't going to push for the playoffs, so they might as well see what they have in Manziel. We'll see.

STL - QB Case Keenum named starter

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

St. Louis Rams QB Case Keenum will be the starting quarterback for the Week 11 game against the Baltimore Ravens.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Nick Foles just isn't getting it done. Foles was extended by the Rams earlier this year, and he's got a $8.75 million cap number in 2016 (with $3.7 million in dead money). We'll see if Keenum can inject some life into this bad passing game.

BAL - WR Kamar Aiken heavily targeted

    Source: NFL.com - Chris Wesseling

Baltimore Ravens WR Kamar Aiken was targeted 14 times by QB Joe Flacco on their Week 10 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Just as we anticipated, Aiken is the top receiver for the Ravens with Steve Smith done for the year. Consider him a WR3/flex play going forward, and bump up expectations if we see him get more looks in the red zone.

TEN - WR Dorial Green-Beckham needs to improve

    Source: TitansOnline.com - Jim Wyatt
Tennessee Titans rookie WR Dorial Green-Beckham needs finish his routes, according to head coach Mike Mularkey.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Green-Beckham has amazing natural ability. He's big, fast and physical...plus, the rookie has a large wingspan and can play above the rim. However, he's raw as a route-runner and needs to show more savvy in that area if he ever wants to dominate at a level he's capable of.

CAR - Carolina having success on ground

    Source: NFL.com - Chris Wesseling

The Carolina Panthers and QB Cam Newton have gone 20 straight games with at least 100 yards on the ground.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This should surprise no one as the Panthers are built to win on the ground...and with great defense. Check and check in both of those categories. With the rest of their schedule being on the easy side, the Panthers could finish the year as the top team in the NFC and snare the no1 seed for the playoffs.

MIN - QB Teddy Bridgewater posting mediocre stats

    Source: NFL.com - Marc Sessler

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater has thrown for under 250 yards passing in seven of his nine starts this year after going for just 140 aerial yards against the Oakland Raiders in Week 10. Bridgewater had 22 passing attempts to RB Adrian Peterson's 26 carries against Oakland.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Norv Turner offense isn't going to ask Bridgewater to do a lot. We love him from a football standpoint, but with a fantasy lens Bridgewater is not that attractive an option.

NYJ - QB Ryan Fitzpatrick doesn't practice

    Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Rich Cimini

New York Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (thumb) didn't practice Monday, Nov. 16, and stayed home three days after having surgery on his left thumb. Head coach Todd Bowles said he's 'hopeful' that Fitzpatrick can practice Wednesday, Nov. 18, and 'hopeful' he will play in Week 11 against the Houston Texans.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bowles isn't sure if Fitzpatrick will start yet, as he wants to see how he looks in practice taking snaps. There's a chance that Fitzpatrick doesn't practice until Friday, Nov. 20, and still starts this weekend.

DAL - QB Tony Romo expected to return in Week 11

    Source: ESPN.com

Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo (clavicle) is expected to be cleared from the short-term Reserve/Injured list Wednesday, Nov. 18, and play in Week 11 against the Miami Dolphins, according to a source. Romo has missed two months with a fractured collarbone. 'Tony's had a good couple of weeks of practice with us,' head coach Jason Garrett said. 'We anticipate him being able to practice this week.'

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Cowboys are just frothing with anticipation for the return of Romo. They need him to spark this 2-7 team in a bad way. We'll see if Romo can lead the Cowboys to something we've never seen before...a 2-7 team making the playoffs.

DEN - WR Emmanuel Sanders injured finger

    Source: DenverBroncos.com - Andrew Mason

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (finger) injured his finger in a Week 10 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, according to head coach Gary Kubiak. He is still expected to have a normal week, however.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sanders was roughed up by the Chiefs, but he's tough and should be able to play against the Bears in Week 11. With Brock Osweiler at QB, there's no telling what to expect from the Denver passing game. We'd put Sanders as a low-end WR2/flex option at this time.

TEN - RB David Cobb could play

Source: The Tennessean - John Glennon

Tennessee Titans RB David Cobb (calf) has a chance to play against the Jacksonville Jaguars Thursday, Nov. 19, according to head coach Mike Mularkey.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We'd love to see Cobb eventually win the starting job. He reported a bit overweight, but Cobb is the best natural runner on the Titans roster. Cobb is efficient and determined between the tackles. Dynasty owners should be excited about his future, and re-draft owners should add him as a speculative pickup in deeper leagues.

ARI - WR Michael Floyd day-to-day

    Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban

Arizona Cardinals WR Michael Floyd (hamstring) is considered day-to-day with a hamstring injury.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Keep an eye on Floyd's status during the week. The Cardinals play against the Bengals on Sunday Night Football in Week 11.

JAX - RB T.J. Yeldon in walking boot

    Source: The Florida Times-Union - Ryan O'Halloran

Updating a previous report, Jacksonville Jaguars RB T.J. Yeldon (foot) was wearing a walking boot Monday, Nov. 16.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This is never the report you want to hear. Yeldon had done a fine job as the team's starter this year, but this foot injury could slow him down. Toby Gerhart could get a larger role if Yeldon misses time with this injury. The Jaguars are at home against the Titans on Thursday night in Week 11.

PHI - QB Mark Sanchez expected to start this weekend

    Source: NFL.com - Jeremy Bergman

Philadelphia Eagles QB Mark Sanchez is expected to start in Week 11 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in place of QB Sam Bradford (shoulder, concussion).

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sanchez is a QB2 for fantasy owners. Most of you won't be starting him, but some of you in 2QB/QB-flex leagues will be considering Sanchez against the Bucs.

JAX - WR Allen Hurns may need surgery

    Source: The Florida Times-Union - Ryan O'Halloran

Updating a previous report, Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns (hernia) could undergo surgery on his sports hernia, which would keep him out of the lineup for four to six weeks.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hurns has a TD in seven straight games, but the Jaguars are going to do what's right for their budding star receiver. He's been a fantastic find for a franchise who now has a nice collection of weapons on offense. Without Hurns in the lineup, we'd likely see more from Bryan Walters and perhaps even Marqise Lee.

NE - WR Aaron Dobson bumped up depth chart

    Source: ESPNBoston.com - Mike Reiss

New England Patriots WR Aaron Dobson was bumped up the depth chart one spot when WR Julian Edelman (foot) was injured in Week 10.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Dobson doesn't run the same routes that Edelman does, but he should see a bump in targets. We think Danny Amendola is the player to emerge without Edelman. The two are similarly built and can work underneath routes for Tom Brady.
