KC - Torn ACL for RB Jamaal Charles

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Kansas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles' (knee) MRI confirmed a torn anterior cruciate ligament, according to a source. Charles will likely miss the rest of the season.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This was feared, and now the Chiefs will move forward without Charles. Charcandrick West and Knile Davis will likely split time in a RBBC without Charles on the field. We feel that Davis is the more talented back, but West is the first back up as Davis seems to be in the doghouse this year. The team will need both in order to have a halfway decent rushing attack. This is a huge kick in the midsection for the Chiefs offense.

IND - QB Andrew Luck's status unknown

    Source: ESPN.com - Mike Wells

Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck (shoulder) is 'day-to-day,' and head coach Chuck Pagano will not say whether Luck will return in Week 6 to face the New England Patriots after practicing in full Monday, Oct. 12. Luck is 0-4 in his career against the Patriots and has lost by an average of 29 points.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

With the release of backup QB Josh Johnson, we think Luck should be able to go on Sunday. QB Matt Hasselbeck would start his third straight game if Luck can't go.

BAL - RB Justin Forsett injury not serious

    Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley

Baltimore Ravens RB Justin Forsett (ankle) avoided a high-ankle sprain in a Week 5 loss to the Cleveland Browns.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Good news for the Ravens here. Head coach John Harbaugh said Forsett could still play this week against the 49ers. The 49ers rank 21st in the league in rushing yards allowed after Week 5. They have allowed 540 rushing yards so far this season.

DAL - QB Brandon Weeden expected to keep job

Source: SiriusXM NFL Radio - Pat Kirwan

Dallas Cowboys QB Brandon Weeden is expected to keep his starting quarterback job unless there is a change in thinking before the Week 7 game.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Let's pump the brakes on this. The move to Matt Cassel is a lateral one, and it is unlikely to cure what's wrong with the offense. The Cowboys have a bye this week, so we'll have to watch this situation in practice next week.

JAX - QB Blake Bortles' throwing arm hurt

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Updating previous reports, Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles' (shoulder) sprained his throwing shoulder Sunday, Oct. 11, against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Stay tuned here if you're a QB streamer. It is uncertain if Bortles will be able to play in Week 6 versus the Houston Texans.

NYG - Odell Bechkam may practice

    Source: ESPN.com - Dan Graziano

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. (hamstring) is dealing with a hamstring injury, but the team hopes he will be able to practice on at least a limited basis this week, according to head coach Tom Coughlin.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Beckham has had plenty of hamstring problems in the past. The team will monitor him closely. Watch for him to practice fully later in the week.

SEA - RB Marshawn Lynch should play

    Source: Seahawks.com - John Boyle

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch (hamstring) should be able to play in Week 6 against the Carolina Panthers if he doesn't suffer any setbacks this week, according to head coach Pete Carroll.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hopefully you started Thomas Rawls while you could. With Lynch back, we'll have him ranked as a low-end RB1/high-end RB2 in Week 6 at home against the Panthers.

NO - Sean Payton not going anywhere

    Source: ESPN.com - Mike Triplett

New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton said he doesn't have any interest in leaving the Saints after a report surfaced Sunday, Oct. 11, that multiple teams, including the Miami Dolphins, are expected to ask about his availability at the end of this year. 'I'll say what I've said before: This is where I see myself. And I've said that now for however many years,' said Payton, who is in his 10th year as coach of the Saints with two years left on his contract.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Saints are in a massive hole, and there will be changes. We think DC Rob Ryan will be on the way out while Payton gets a little more time. Things change quickly in the NFL, but we don't see Payton leaving New Orleans just yet.

PIT - QB Ben Roethlisberger will wear brace

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (knee) is expected to wear a knee brace for the first time in his NFL career when he returns from his medial collateral ligament injury and bone bruise. However, he is resistant to the idea.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Of course he's resistant to the idea. Roethlisberger has proven his toughness time and time again. They'll likely get him into the brace for a bit, but he'll shed it quickly.

ATL - WR Leonard Hankerson listed as limited

    Source: AtlantaFalcons.com

Atlanta Falcons WR Leonard Hankerson (ribs) was limited during practice Monday, Oct. 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hankerson is a little banged up, but he should be good to go for Thursday night's game against the Saints.

ATL - WR Julio Jones does not practice

    Source: ESPN.com - Vaughn McClure

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (hamstring, toe) did not participate in practice Monday, Oct. 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

No surprise here. Jones is banged up and will likely be limited all week. The Falcons travel to New Orleans to play the Saints on Thursday Night Football in Week 6.

PIT - QB Ben Roethlisberger ready for Week 6?

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (knee) wants to play in the Week 6 game against the Arizona Cardinals.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Don't get too excited just yet. The Steelers have not ruled out the possibility of Roethlisberger playing but consider it a longshot.

DET - RB Joique Bell will return to practice

    Source: Mlive.com - Kyle Meinke

Detroit Lions RB Joique Bell (ankle) said he will participate in practice this week and hopes to be able to play in the Week 6 game against the Chicago Bears.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Lions have a ton of problems on both sides of the ball, and getting Bell back is unlikely to help. Rookie Ameer Abdullah needs to hang onto the rock and do more with his limited touches. Bell should be eased back into the lineup if he does end up playing against the Bears. He's not a fantasy factor.

BUF - WR Sammy Watkins may play in Week 6

    Source: BuffaloBills.com - Chris Brown

Buffalo Bills WR Sammy Watkins (calf) may be able to play in the Week 6 game against the Cincinnati Bengals because he participated in workouts before the team's Week 5 game.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Getting Watkins back would be great for the Bills offense. Teams play the Bills differently when Watkins is not on the field. He attracts a lot of defensive attention, and this helps open up things for guys like TE Charles Clay and WRs Percy Harvin and Robert Woods. Watch his practice status during the week.

TEN - RB David Cobb could return next week

Source: The Tennessean - John Glennon

Tennessee Titans RB David Cobb (calf) said the plan is for him to return to practice next week.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We love the rookie's upside as a potential starter. Cobb is a powerful runner who wastes little motion with the ball in his hands. He can grind down an opponent as the game goes on, and Cobb gets stronger with more carries. He is eligible to play against the New Orleans Saints in Week 9 as he is currently on the short-term Reserve/Injured list.

DAL - WR Dez Bryant needs to practice

Source: The Dallas Morning News - Jon Machota

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (foot) will have to participate in practice before he is ready to play in a game, according to head coach Jason Garrett.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Stay tuned here. Bryant is getting closer to returning, but don't get too excited just yet. Garrett said Bryant is making progress and has been able to do some things on the field.

CHI - RB Jeremy Langford expected to be No. 2 RB

    Source: ESPNChicago.com - Jeff Dickerson

Chicago Bears RB Jeremy Langford is expected to take over as the No. 2 running back with RB Jacquizz Rodgers (ankle) out for the season.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We liked Langford at Michigan State. He's an efficient runner who is determined between the tackles. Langford isn't super fast, but he doesn't waste a lot of motion running the rock. Dynasty owners should be all over him, and Forte owners with deep benches should already have him handcuffed.

MIN - WR Mike Wallace's status uncertain

Source: St. Paul Pioneer Press - Chris Tomasson

Minnesota Vikings WR Mike Wallace (undisclosed) did not participate in practice Monday, Oct. 12, because of an undisclosed reason.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Head coach Mike Zimmer is not sure if Wallace will be able to play in the Week 6 game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

CLE - QB Josh McCown has ankle sprain

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Updating a previous report, Cleveland Browns QB Josh McCown (ankle) suffered an ankle sprain in a Week 5 win against the Baltimore Ravens.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

He is hopeful he'll be able to play in Week 6 against the Denver Broncos. You don't want to be gimpy when playing a team that leads the NFL in sacks. It could be a tough day for the Browns on Sunday.

ARI - OLB Dwight Freeney joins Arizona

Source: NFL Network - Rand Getlin

Free-agent LB Dwight Freeney (Chargers) signed a one-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals Monday, Oct. 12, according to a source. Financial terms were not disclosed.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Cardinals' pass rush needs a shot in the arm, and the veteran Freeney could provide that as a part-time player. Their defense ranks 23rd in the league with only eight sacks in 2015.

NYG - WR Rueben Randle has hamstring injury

    Source: ESPN.com - Dan Graziano

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (hamstring) suffered a hamstring injury in Week 5, but the team hopes he will be able to practice on at least a limited basis this week, according to head coach Tom Coughlin.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Both Randle and Odell Beckham Jr. went down for a bit with hamstring injuries on Sunday night. Watch for both to practice later in the week.
