Just wanted to point out a couple of things happening with this game.
About 76% of the public is laying the chalk. That's a lot of chalk, even for the Hawks in their 1st home game of the season with Kam back in action facing the lackluster Bears. Seattle is not known for big points and covering big spreads.
On the flip side, 96% is on Chicago money-line. Apparently, there a ton of squares out there.
I wont be betting this game.
Regardless of the 76% taking the -14.5, there's probably a lot of people out there though who doubt that the Hawks will cover that many points. If you are nuts enough to bet this game, I believe the correct play though, is to lay the chalk. That 96% on the ML is going to walk home empty handed, and I believe the public got the spread right this time.
And just in case you were wondering, Seattle was originally The Jet City. The old nick-name comes from Boeing. Back in the 80's, some fukkin ding-a-ling decided to let the public vote on a new name and somehow they landed on The Emerald City. I fukkin hate it: always have. To me, Seattle is The Jet City. Back then it was the home of the Seattle Supersonics and primarily a basketball town. Everybody knew who the Weedle on the Needle was. I bet hardly a person on this forum can even tell ya who the Seahawk mascot is.
