"Never bet the team who played great Monday Night the following Sunday"
Cowherd yesterday, said an old sharp of his gave him advice when he was living in Vegas 20 years ago that stuck; If a team plays great Monday Night, rarely is it followed up the following Sunday with a good game. (See San Francisco week 1 & 2). So this would apply to the Jets this Sunday.

By all means I think this is a load of crap; but thought some may like

              2014 Season

Listing the team that "played great Monday night" followed by their performance the following week. If I list no one, it's because I don't believe either team played particularly well that Monday.

              Week 1
              Detroit: lose 24-7 @carolina

              Week 2 & 3
              No one

              Week 4
              Chiefs: lose 22-17 @sf

              Week 5
Seahawks: lose 30-23 @home against the Cowboys. Wilson's first loss at the clink

              Week 6
              49ers: lose 42-17 @denver

              Week 7 & 8
No one, unless you count Washington beating Dallas @dallas by three points with McCoy as qb. If you do, Washington lost the next week.

              Week 9
              Colts: bye in week 10

              Week 10
              Eagles: lose 53-20 @gb

              Week 11
              No one

              Week 12
Bills: win 26-10 @home against Cleveland
*not sure if this sound count, as the Monday game was never supposed to be a Monday game. Rescheduled due to weather, played in Detroit.

              Week 13 & 14
              No one

              Week 15
Saints: lose 30-14 @home against Atlanta

              Week 16
Bengals (sort of): lose 27-17 @pitt

Tl;dr - only one team that "played great" the previous Monday night won, and that one was the Bills/Jets' relocated game. I'm fairly certain that all those losses also did not cover, but I'm too lazy to verify that.

Tomlin would screw up any chance, just wait and see.
