Good morning,

I have always liked playing totals in all sports. My feeling is that there are more stats to draw from and I just find it easier to handicap. In the NHL play offs I was 17-9 http://www.sportsbookreview.com/foru...ayoffs-p3.html and currently in MLB I'm 38-28 http://www.sportsbookreview.com/foru...s-only-p2.html

This year I will be posting my NFL totals here. I will have some pre-season plays, but I must warn everyone that I find the pre-season a bit more difficult to predict.

It depends on the sport, but in general, I am more of a stat guy. In FB the usual stats like offensive and defensive, but of course weather, in particular wind, and to break it down further, cross wind enters into my decision. The coach is another factor, especially in pre-season games. One more factor I consider is line movement vs amount wagered on a side. No one factor is the end all, but rather a combination of many.

Two pre-season under coaches and a 13 mph crosswind.

Pre-season will not count toward my regular season record. As I mentioned in my first post, pre-season is a bit more difficult to predict. so be careful.

If, for example 80% of the wagers are on one side yet the line has not changed or has gone the opposite way, that may be an indication, (but not always) that even though most of the public is on one side, the books are not changing the line because their sharp players are betting the opposite side. Again, it's just one thing that I consider. If you subscribe to Don Best they have that info, but I believe there are some free sites out there that have it also.
