One benefit to deflategate
It has really been great at separating brainless idiots from those with a modicum of rational/intelligent thought (those who blindly followed the media v. those who read the actual report).
It's also been a great way to allow Pats haters (presumably every team but the Giants) to unleash their bitterness and pent-up rage over consistently losing to the Patriots over the last decade and a half.
