2014 Seattle Seahawks- Posers or for Real?
I happen to think that the Seahawks have been working very hard to convince themselves that they are as strong a team as the 2013 team. Believe me, they know in their heart-of-hearts that they aren't. That is why Sherman was trying to hype the cheaters tag and Brady isn't "squeaky clean" focus on the Patriots (to try to put extra pressure on them). Unfortunately for them Lynch might have usurped that manipulation/strategy with his bizarre act.

My question for this game is this: If New England beats the Hawks- will all of the people who have been boasting about how strong Seattle's defense is then do a complete reversal and say that they weren't strong? Either they really are strong or they are not. If you know what you are seeing when you watch them play and aren't going strictly on possibly "illusory" numbers than you might be more confident in your opinions and bets (if you are a bettor).

I seem to remember an awful lot of people being on Denver to beat Seattle last year and when Denver was exposed by Seattle's great defense it had to be a complete surprise to those who really don't know what they are judging. It must have also shook their opinion of the media expertise that led them down the wrong path.

These Seahawks are real enough to make a mess of this Patriots team. The thing you are missing by asking that question is, like most games, this will come down to how each part matches up against its counterpart. These Seshawks dominate match-ups all over the field against these Patriots. Overall rankings & legacies are meaningless when chosing the winner of one game.

average team, had a weak schedule, largely got a pass in the playoffs
and still almost managed to blow it.
they will be exposed, and badly.

Sorry to say my friend but I am most definitely taking match-ups into account and I have been trying to say in a few threads here that I believe that the Seahawks are (IMO) esteemed as being better individually and collectively this year than they are.

            weak schedule for seattle??
Patriots had Jets, Miami and Bills twice, those are 6 easy wins. Lets see the others: Vikings, Bears, Oakland, and I would mention San Diego here as pretenders and the bungals of course.
Who did they beat in the regular season? Colts Lions and Broncos
