There's a lot to that story. Cutler was Shanny's guy, but Shanny got fired. McDaniels and Cutler butted heads, so McDaniels from the hoody school shipped Cutler and thought he could win with Orton. McDaniels got canned and we know about Orton... When Cutler got shipped, he'd only played 3 years and it was still unclear how his career would unfold...

In Chicago, Cutler went from having no o-line and no weapons but a great defense to having a great offense and zero defense. Good teams have a balance. I'm a broken record pointing to the CHI front office in creating this mess. Worse QBs than Cutler have won rings, so it's not all on the QB. Look at Romo, he looks great with a complete team around him. Hell, look at Rodgers this weekend, people are burying him for the loss but he's the least to blame for what happened in that game. All I'm saying about Cutler is that CHI needs to blow this up and try again, I suggest bringing in Harbaugh, and maybe the shakeup will take pressure off Cutler and put him in circumstances where he plays his best, whatever that might look like.
