Al Michaels: "You know what I'm talking about"
LOL...."that touchdown made the cowboys happy, and a lot of other people happy too"

He sounded a little disappointed. Must've been on the Under....

    Hah.

Big deal. He always makes comments like that. Musburger made a regular habit of it too.

Pregame show he said he's hoping for a shootout.
That comment was pretty funny ...no comment from his partner.

I think it's great that the announcer pays attention to the lines. Musburger last year when Ohio State covered on the play in the end zone. Was classic.

He loves the rush from winning. Same reason wealthy people go to casinos.

Not sure why this is a surprise. Lot of networks and commentators are doing that. I remember the other week when baylor played buffalo, the commentator kept talking about the spread and the total through out the game. networks know that gamblers are a big niche and they are taking advantage of it. All these espn, yahooo, tsn, cnn, abc, nbc sports sites are listing odds beside the schedule now!

I remember a game years ago i think it was when buffalo was playing new england and the score was like 30-0 with a total of 36. Bledsoe had the ball inside the 5 and belichick was calling timeouts to reintroduce the starters to keep buffalo from. Scoring

Anyway i was listening on radio and the announcer says something to the effect of
"Partner, its 30-0 and im sitting on the edge of my seat "

                          Lmao
Ill try to find the game

Same reason Brent Musburger bets on college football and hoops. He loves the action, and knows he is the voice of the gamblers all around the country that have wagers on the side or total.

You are 100% right. Just about every announcer mentions the line before kickoff. They say something like "Team X is a 4 touchdown favorite, or they will say it looks like we are in for a high scoring affair tonight if the total is high" Even Espn radio quotes lines and their old man Berman gives out his weekly Nfl plays ats every Friday.
