These are not the Steelers and Ravens of years ago. I didn't wanna bet a team, but the total intrigued me, especially after both team's performances last week.
Ravens core D has left and PITs defense showed its true colors last week - the steel curtain is now more like swiss cheese. I'm expecting more offense from both teams - Flacco will have the game he meant to have last week now that the dust is off and PIT will continue their high flying heroics on offense. A mature and married Rotherlisberger is half not giving a penetrate (did you watch his interview last week) and will throw the ball and take chances (long TD's and interceptions will happen) and is now seasoned enough to want to pass deep and more often. According to him he's underrated. Bell will get the ball too and look for him to punch one or two in. Flacco needs to use the cannon he has and will be looking to air it out more this week now that Rice is definitely out of the picture moving forward. The Blue Hen is a born passer and last week's loss will have him back to where he feels comfortable - airing it out. More passing this game means more TD's and more INT's and of course - less of the clock running.
Everyone on here knows this total would have been 38.5 three years ago. These are two totally different teams and I'm expecting - with a little luck (maybe a 24 to 24 or 27 to 27 with a TD in overtime) - another parade of scoring based on PIT showing the same offense they did last week and Baltimore's offense waking up. Both defenses aren't what they used to be - nuff said. Throw in a garbage touchdown on a pick or a kickoff, and I'm betting big on the modified over 54.5 +260. Also bet the over on the regular total 44 and one modified total 34.5 -380.
Regardless, was in the mood to lay my stones out there early in the weekend this weekend. Want some action so I'm taking the modified over as the big bet. Confident in my pick.
