Andy Dalton 6 yrs $115 million from Bengals.
The Cincinnati Bengals have signed quarterback Andy Dalton to a six-year contract extension through 2020, the team announced Monday.

Even after reading it on espn i can't believe it's true. Dalton is average at best, a scrub when it really matters.

absolute joke of a contract for a mediocre qb, he is not top 10 and MAYBE bottom half of top 15 qbs..bcats and some other cinci/ohio homers were all over me for saying that across the street saying how great he is and he deserved the money

Not that bad of a deal as I mentioned in another thread yesterday. There are 3 tiers of Qb's in the league ....Elite which is made up of a handful or so of guys making them very rare, 2nd tier guys are good solid and probably make up around half the league, then you have the bottom feeders who are just filling a spot and always expendable. Dalton falls comfortably in that 2nd tier and the Bungles are only stuck in bed with him for two years of the deal. The contract is also incentive driven so he will likely never see the whole 115 mill. That said not a bad move by Cincy in the relative short term he is the best option and still very young with the ability to improve.
