While I agree that Rivers is capable of putting up big points, SD should know the formula can't be to get into a shoot-out with Peyton Manning...

They beat the Broncos with ball control (had the ball 39 minutes to Denver's 21) using the run game. In that game, Rivers only had 20 attempts for 166 yards, similar to last week against the Bengals where he only attempted 16 passes for 128 yards.
