Report: Harrison asks for release from Colts

In a stunning move Sunday, future Hall of Fame wide receiver Marvin Harrison has reportedly asked for his release from the Indianapolis Colts.


A report on NFL.com said that after Harrison and the Colts failed to agree on a restructured contract, the eight-time Pro Bowler asked for his release from the only team he has ever known.


A 13-year NFL veteran, Harrison has been embroiled in an alleged shooting incident in his hometown of Philadelphia, PA, and his release would end one of the most successful quarterback-wide receiver tandems in league history... Read more here

Unfortunately, we all saw this coming. He had a fine, hall of fame career.

Will be strange to see him in any other jersey, though I'm hoping Crazy Al Davis takes a flier on him.

Not stunning. Complete expected.

Schefter reported last week that the Colts would release Harrison, which was obvious because they need cap space and he has a huge cap number for a washed up WR. Harrison had steadfastedly refused to take a pay cut, so his release was inevitable.

He started asking/demanding a release so he can hit the market sooner.

Hall of famer, but it's time to go out to pasture. I prefer that he retire. He's got nothing left to prove.
