This never happens to me. Unbelievable parlay run.

I know lots of guys on the board say "don't play parlays, they're not profitable in the long run" and while I agree with that to an extent, they're still fun to play and I wanted to share this run while I'm still buzzing.

2 weeks ago I put $50 on an 8 teamer paying 122/1, and I hit it, paying just over $6000. 7 college totals and Chiefs ML.

I then took the 'change' from that payout and put it on Broncos Colts live over and got $200 back.

I then placed that $200 on Panthers 1H -3.5, miss state 1H -6.5, wolves pistons over 194.5 and blazers ML. This was at 20/1 and I got back just over $4000.

I missed an 8 team college parlay over the weekend by 1 game that was paying 90/1 with $100 on it, and with the Seahawks just holding on and covering -2.5 I have just hit another 8 teamer paying 30/1 with $100 on it. $3000 payout.

I've played 4 parlays in 2 weeks, hit 3 and have laid a total $450 and won $13000.

This NEVER happens to me. I'm sure the board doesn't care but I'm on a high and wanted to share it.

I do make larger plays on straight wagers and have always played parlays on the side for $50-$100, depending on parlay odds.

I have had similar runs (on a much smaller scale) in the past and got a hot head and blew it all. Lesson learnt, I won't be doing that again.

I have taken most of the winnings and put it aside for a holiday for my wife and son, but I've still got a healthy enough roll to continue making straight plays of the same unit.

I was so close to not playing this last parlay that closed with the Seahawks because I just felt like I was pushing my luck. When I missed the 1 team in the 8 teamer college parlay I thought to myself "oh well, it was a good run" and was about to 'get out' after that missed.

Then when I went to my book to play this last 1 I was thinking "come on now, you're not going to hit a 122/1, 20/1 and 30/1 in a 2 week stretch". I mean, I liked all my picks, I just didn't think the gambling gods would allow it.

We'll see what this week throws up.

Valid, however I've been on SBR long enough (do more reading than posting, but whatever) to know that a guy who doesn't post that often who posts a 122/1 parlay is likely to get more "you're just burning money / parlays will send you broke" responses than "gl with your play / I'm rooting for you / I might tail" comments.

Your opinion is valid. I don't expect people to give a fukk. Those who don't usually wont even open the thread, let alone make comment on it. I find other's posts and stories like this interesting so thought I would share with who those who also did.

I usually don't post plays here because instead of SBR being a place where like-minded bettors can come together and share knowledge to beat the books, it becomes more of "my rooster's bigger than your rooster" competition where egotistical dikks slate each other for getting a play wrong. We need to remember that no matter how sharp we think we are, there's only 2 sides in the betting world. There's those placing bets, and there's those taking them. We're all on the same side here.

I apologize for not posting my parlays prior to hitting (I doubt you would have played them anyway).
