Picked up on this a couple weeks ago, and the trend has held true. Took note when the Hawks just murdered the will of the Texans, and sucked the life out of them.
Teams on the week following their matchup with the Seahawks are 0-6
Week 1: Seattle beats Carolina 12-7; Carolina loses in week 2 to Buffalo 24-23.
Week 2: Seattle shits on SF 29-3, and they get dominated 27-7 the next week at home by the Colts
Week 3: Seattle beats Jacksonville....JAX loses every week, not a good example of cause-effect, but still follows the trend.
Week 4: Seattle comes back down 14 inside 7 minutes left in the game, wins 23-20 in OT. Houston is demoralized and their season is now over because of it.
Week 5: Indy beats the Hawks in a physical game, but a poor defensive effort 34-28. Indy drops in a letdown to the Chargers the following week
Week 6: Seahawks shut down Titans in another very physical game, Titans lose by 14 to SF...also not a great example of cause-effect but still follows the trend.
Week 7: Seattle runs over Arizona, who now hosts Atlanta on Sunday....and the Cards are favored?
I think it warrants consideration to note that teams are bound feel the effects of a very physical game going into the next week's practices if not the next game. Just thought I'd post this and see if the trend holds true.
So yeah, ATL +3.
