I know that I am new to this forum but I am not new to football. I know that here in Houston we have a relatively new team but c'mon, I don't think we are that bad.

I really believe that last season was a fluke. I'm not saying we should have made the playoffs but we let quite a few 4th quarters leads get away.

We are much improved this year. I believe the defense is better, receivers are better, tight ends are better, and maybe even the running game with Kubiak. I still don't know about Carr. He seems really nervous when he drops back. I guess getting sacked over and over and over and over and over, (sorry) will do that to you.

I believe the Eagles will probably win but it is hard to say. I remember when the Texans first opened against the Cowgirls in their first year. How many people picked the Cowgirls to win that game? I really think that the Texans have improved tremendously but it remains to be seen how much.

I just don't think that the Eagles are going to run away with this game like a lot of people think. Firat game of the season usually has a lot of surprises when it comes to betting. I think the Eagles will win but it will be under 10.

Not to sound like a jerk, as I'm a Packer fan, I feel I'm qualified to disagree with the Texans being 'not that bad'. (I know bad teams, I get to watch in pain every week!)

They have, in all likelyhood, the worst O Line in the NFL. Right there, that's the season. But it gets better. Running back... Yeah. I wasn't a big fan of Dominick Davis at all, I can't see him being injured upgrading that critical position. The QB position is an utter disaster most games, even though the kid can throw it pretty good... He still is on his back most of the game.

I'd say Andre Johnson is really the only guy worth mentioning on O. He has elite skill. Moulds? Dang, if they had him even 2 years ago he'd make a huge impact...

I don't have a lot of depth in knowledge on the Texans D this year, as I didn't see much of them in pre-season (a quarter, maybe), but I can't see them making much of a change with a top draft pick rookie DE and becomming anything better than 'ok'.

I saw enough of the Texans last year to see their defense was real bad. Too many big plays in big spots. They really were hard to watch.

I feel bad for Capers, but he really did a crappy job down there. You do have one ray of hope, though. Charley Casserly is gone!!!!!!!!!!!!! He's probably the biggest disaster of a G.M. of all time. I don't get why beat writers love him so much. I'm not saying he should've taken Reggie Bush, but other than that, he's made a bumload of horrible decisions in crafting the team.

Until they really do something with that offensive line, I don't know how they'll truly see how good Carr is. I think he's pretty average at best, overall, though.

I'd love to see the Texans get better and become the toast of the state. The cowboys make me ill.
They should be a bit better this year, but I think they will be picking in the top 5 in the draft again.
