This line is one of the biggest overreactions I've seen. So the Steelers looked awful week one, but are we really supposed to believe that the Bengals are 7 points better than them?

This is the same Bungals team who is 1-13 in their last 14 at home against the Steelers. This is the same Mike Tomlin who is something like 7-1 in his last 8 monday night games. Did anyone happen to watch the bungals game last week... there was mistake after mistake, with their dumb coach Lewis looking on clueless on the sidelines.

Tomlin will have his team ready, regardless of how bad they are on paper compared to last year. Bungals guaranteed will use safe playcalling all night trying not to lose and keep it close, and there will be critical errors by their coach and QB on multiple occassions. Never trust your money on prime time with clueless Marvin Lewis and choker Andy Dalton. In a toss up game, I'll go with Tomlin and Big Ben.

Steelers ML 1 unit to win 2.4

Bengals are an average team too, with arguably the worst coaching staff in the league. Everyone betting bengals spread and big on the bengals ml will get buried.

Bengals ML is a good play. 5Dimes is at -7 Bengals....I'm not buying into that. I'm in on Cincy ML. BOL.

This sounds like a sharp play in the sense that sharps like percentage plays. One of the things that makes sharps consistently profitable is they're not afraid to make bets that will *probably* lose if it offers good value. When you have a team that's won 13 of their last 14 road games against their opponent, and a coach that has won 7 of his last 8 on MNF getting about a touchdown you can't help but feel like there's value in Pittsburgh.

I remember a few years ago I did a contest where you had to predict who would make the biggest jump in Richard Billingsley's BCS computer rankings. The kicker is that his rankings early in the season use the final rankings from last year as a starting point. Naturally this is ridiculous because teams aren't the same from one year to the next. Sure enough, the "top 10 ranked" post-Brian Kelly/Dan LeFevour CMU team got throttled by an up and coming Al Golden-coached Temple team. So yeah, there's value in streaks but there's even more value in betting against the streak when there's nothing left to sustain it. This is the worst Steelers team in a decade, and the best Bengals team in a decade. The Bengals are just as hungry not to start 0-2 as the Steelers. I'll go Bengals 23-10. Bengals offense won't explode, but they'll win the turnover battle and that'll probably be enough.

Best to stick with recent stats when looking at Trends. Steelers fading and Bengals have won 7 of last 9, regular season.

Big Ben should air it out and Steeler D is tough, but also wounded. O line, receivers, RB issues known.

They have to play and anything can happen.

You have a shot with the points, maybe and that's a big IF. ML , no way.
