Just reported across the news wires that Sanchez is done for the year with a torn labrum.

Jet's will now have to turn to Geno.

    Nice job Rex.

Todays ESPN injury report says that multiple doctors have advised him to not have surgery.

If you are not familiar with the shoulder, the Labrum is basically the saddle that your shoulder sits in. Although a labrum will not heal on it's own, in some cases it does not inhibit a persons ability to use his arm. It's sore for awhile, swelling goes away and then it doesn't seem to be a problem. I have had rotator cuff surgery and have had many issues with my shoulder over the years. In fact, after having surgery I have completely destroyed the work that my doctor did. I have dislocated it 3 or 4 times since having surgery in 1990 and it does not prevent me from playing golf (I can drive the ball over 300 yards but consistently drive it 270 - 290). I however cannot throw with that arm like I could before surgery.

Sanchez's injury is not serious. It did not even dislocate. With proper physical therapy he will be back up and running by week 7.
