Excellent article LT, I'm not sure if I like it in this one though. Kurt Warner has been there before, I don't see him having jitters, and I think Arizona could easily get a TD in the 1Q. And sure Arizona has some inside info on Parker and the offense, but it will still be tough to contain Parker at full speed. I could easily see this 1Q getting to 10 or higher.

Still, great article, the underlying factors that caused those past results are good to be aware of.

Even with the heavy chalk of -155 for 10 points?

good read, I think that cards are way more likely to score early then they are late... Steeler's D gets more effective as the game progresses....and Steeler's staff makes great half-time adjustments.

Card's should jump on the board first

i would go with the overs in both.. cards jump ahead early.. keep the lead for a while and lose in the fourth quater.. palomalu intercepts and they run out the clock..

good luck to all of you tho!

                Bump

Note that last year, there were only 3 points scored in the first quarter, and the Fist Half Under lost by 1/2 a point on the 100-yard interception return on the last play of the half.

Obviously, the two offenses involved this year will put this trend to the litmus test.

First Half Total this year is 28.5
                First Quarter is 10.5

I'd be cautious here. I don't think the Colts will have jitters. Plus, there was 20 scored in the first quarter in 2007 the last time they were there.

Yes but the point remains the same, thus the bump.

True but Saints have never been there before and 28.5 is a high total for first half.
