how much impact you think this had in the loss if any ??

I'm not a fan of mcnabb but he led the team in the third and the defense stiffened up as well until the end of the fourth.

I think it was pretty significant. It basically took away any chance the Eagles had of being able to kick a FG to tie or win the ball game. Akers more or less cost the team 5 points. Also, it could be argued the Cardinals would not have been up by as much at the half had he not missed the 47 yarder. Either way, the Cardinals execution and Aker's worst game probably as a pro cost the Eagles.

Cost them a potential 4 pts.

The refs could be blamed for costing Arizona the same, with their blunder to call a ball out of bounds. I believe that was around the 30 or 35 yard line. A ball on the opponent's 25 yard line is the equivalent of ... 4 pts.

So the Eagles made their kicking mistakes. And the refs evened it out for them.

Yes but there are also a lot of people that think the no call on the pass interference on the 4th down play make up for that. I wanted a good clean fair game and it basically was I feel the refs blew both calls personally so to me it was fair and the blame of this game has to fall on Akers and the horrible first half defense.

PI is a judgement call. A ball in or out of bounds is not, or at least it's not supposed to be.

They said it wasn't reviewable. That's the biggest problem. Why not? The NFL rules committee needs to go over some obvious reviewable stuff like this in the offseason.

As for Akers, you can't pin this loss on him. Everyone on the Eagles made mistakes that were just as significant. Dropped passes on offense, terrible coverages on defense, etc. Even McNabb had a decent game, but missed a few guys that were wide open. I want to scream "fix", but what's the point?
