    Both championship games are rematches
Eagles massacred the Cardinals in Philly on Thanksgiving.

Pittsburgh beat Baltimore twice, once by four and once by three.

32 teams in the NFL. Five of them are birds. ~15.6%

12 playoff teams. Four of them were birds. ~33%

Four teams remaining after today. Three of them are birds. 75%

This was the first time in 37 years that three road teams won on divisional weekend.

Both #6 seeds advanced to play, and beat, the #1 seeds.

    Sunday, January 18, 2008:

3 PM Eastern on FOX: Philadelphia Eagles at Arizona Cardinals. Rematch. Eagles blew out the Cardinals on Thanksgiving in Philadelphia.

6:30 PM Eastern on CBS: Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers. Rematch. Steelers won both games they played, one by four points and one by three points.

As long as the Donovan doesn't give 5 int it shouldn't be too hard for the eagles. The Eagles will definitely move the ball on them. All depends on how long arizona's cinderella story continues because the Eagles D will show up. Arizona had Atlanta and Carolina which laid a big fat turd. Eagles played Min and NYG. Eagles had 3 int last time along with 2 Force fumbles. Personally, i think arizona is like the Saints of '06. They are about to hit a tough D. Westbrook also exploded on them last time. And imo, i look at the eagles playoff runs since Mcnabb and seems like the always choke at this game. But i think they get it done. Partly, that way if Pit wins, philly can make sure Pit wont win the superbowl.

              AFC/NFC Champs:alternative style
The way things have gone so far, here’s next week match-ups.
              ravĀ·ens
              v. tr.
              To consume greedily; devour.
To seek or seize as prey or plunder.
To Prey; plunder; food obtained by violence.

"The common raven is easily tamed, but is mischievous and thievish, and has been popularly regarded as a bird of evil omen and mysterious character."
Ravens feed mostly on carrion, and hence their food is procured with difficulty (Job 38:41; Ps. 147:9). When they attack kids or lambs or weak animals, it is said that they first pick out the eyes of their victims
              VS
              Steelers
One who points, edges, or covers with steel.
(Shipbuilding) Same as Stealer. to take (the property of another or others) without permission or right, esp. secretly or by force, to take, get, or win insidiously, surreptitiously, subtly, or by chance.
Looks like the Pitts will win by TO’s and besides, they are not kids nor weak animals.

              Eagles
large, soaring birds of prey belonging to the hawk family Accipitridae, noted for their size, strength, and powers of flight and vision
characterized by a powerful hooked bill, keen vision, long broad wings, and strong soaring flight.
This "ravenous bird" is a symbol of those nations whom God employs and sends forth to do a work of destruction, sweeping away whatever is decaying and putrescent (Matt. 24:28; Isa. 46:11; Ezek. 39:4; Deut. 28:49; Jer. 4:13; 48:40).
              VS
              Cardinals
Roman Catholic Church. a high ecclesiastic appointed by the pope to the College of Cardinals and ranking above every other ecclesiastic but the pope.
A North American finch (Cardinalis cardinalis) having a crested head, a short thick bill, and bright red plumage in the male. Finches are passerine birds, often seed-eating, found chiefly in the northern hemisphere and Africa.
The N.Amer. songbird (Cardinalis virginianus) is attested from 1678, so named for its resemblance to the red robes of the cardinals.
"Classic" or true finches are small to moderately large and have strong, stubby beaks, which in some species can be quite large.
They have a bouncing flight, alternating bouts of flapping with gliding on closed wings, and most sing well.

Eagles win as this game is not played at the Vatican and show me a songbird and I’ll show you a finch. Looks like McNabb throws for a bunch with no INTs. I will take a ravenous bird over a seed eating, stubby beaked songstress any day.
