    Philly/Minn early line??
Damn, I can't even express how thrilled I am at Philly making the playoffs... all this year they've been Fing w/my mind, and finally they get their cr*p together towards the end of the year (sort of) and find a way into the dance.

I'm trying not to get caught up in my excitement around Philly in the playoffs, but i'm thinking i'll take any thing up to Philly -3 in their game vs Minn though and that's what i'm guessing the early line will be.

    Thoughts??

My initial opinion is Vikings -1, but since the Eagles just crushed the Cowboys, I'm guessing the squares will cause it to be Eagles -2 to -3.5

    But thats just a guess.

I was thinking Eagles -2, but maybe because that is where I will bet them up too! Possible 3-? Their offense can only get better. Nothing to say about the defense. Samuel was worth the money after all! Their team Off. and Def. stats. tell me they should be better than 9-6-1! Bad game day coaching and no clutch plays led to sub par record.

Now, they are my team and so i'm biased but, Eagles are WWWWAAAYYY better than their record (see both games v cowboys, game vs giants, game vs pittsburgh, etc.) but also have a tendency to play much WORSE than their record (see games vs wash, cinci, etc.).

usually they "step up" in big games though, so i'm feeling pretty good about their chances.

will the 10-3 vs. washington, or this week's phille show up?

This is a worse matchup for the Eagles than most people are going to realize. It's defenately not a dream scenario for the Vikings either though. Phille hasn't been great on the road this year and they haven't yet played in a dome, while the Vikings are a strong home team. Phille will have a tough time running on the Vikings especially if Pat Williams comes back. Their passing blitzes will be somewhat nuetralized because the Vikings won't throw much and when they do it's off of play action. The Eagles run defense has been a bit suspect against teams with good rush offenses. Both of these coaches have horrible clock management skills. They may let the time run out without anyone scoring. My knee jerk week before pick is Minnesota wins outright.

Pat Williams has told the local media he expects to play. That will be huge (no pun intended...seriously)

AHhhhh That had to be the greatest regular season win since I've been a Birds fan. Not just getting into the playoffs, but the fact of embarrassing the Cowboys in the process makes it that much sweeter. Im sure Tarvaris Jackson is having nightmares already. GO BIRDSSSS!!!

                  Close Stat. wise!

Both of these coaches have horrible clock management skills. How correct is that statement? Reid won't have to worry about being outcoached this week. Childress might throw more than Reid!
Reid has left wins out there all year long by tiring out his defense in the 2nd half with not enough time consuming drives?

Surprisingly teams are close stat. wise? Thought Philly had big edge?
Just like Romo being subpar yesterday, if McNabb plays above average, Eagles win. Philly D has been nastly!!! See Eagles crowd line to stop run, not enough other weapons to exploit defense. Remember Jackson against Falcons? Half that bad and Minny is in trouble.

Special teams could win it for Eagles? D. Jackson breaking one wouldn't surprise me. Already made initial token wager on Philly at 3- was hoping for 2-, Dallas blowout killed that! Hate to buy points?
Any opinions on buying .5 or possibly 1 point for later in week? or am I wrong and line might come down? Don't think so? Thanks!

Philly should beat Minny but what scares me about Minny is they want do anything on offense all game but end up winning because they somehow ran back a fumble/int for a touchdown or maybe ran back a punt or AP took one up the hole for a 65 yd td.
