    NY Giants +7

I don't play much NFL, but this one really jumped out at me. Doesn't Coughlin usually subscribe to the theory of playing all his guys going into the playoffs (much like Parcells before him)? I fail to see how the Giants should be 7 point dogs. So, I am condsidering playing this one. I'd love to hear what everyone thinks.

    I'm playing Minnesota -6.5

Minnesota is at home and needs the win. This game is meaningless to the Giants and I don't see them playing the starters in the second half of the game. LAST YEAR, the Giants played the starters in an effort to end New Englands 18-0 season. This year there really is no motivation to play the starters.... when Coughlin was asked about playing the starters the entire game he said “We will be smart about any advice we get from our medical people.” Coughlin said he planned to talk with his coordinators and team medical personnel before deciding what players - if any - will sit out.

    My play is Minnesota -6.5

If the line makers believed that the Giants would play this game full strength, then Minnesota would have been the underdog. The giants are the better team. As mentioned previously, last year was different. The giants had something to play for i.e. playing spoiler to the team that was pursuing a perfect season. I don't think the Giants care whether Minnesota or Chicago makes it into the playoffs. Coughlin saying, "“We will be smart about any advice we get from our medical people.” is code for we will rest our starters. Minnesota will be desperate to win and I see them winning by more than a touchdown against a team that will probably play starters for 1 quarter.
