Carolina is getting better every game. Giants are going the other way. A year ago, in week 17, they found their identity. Now they're back in search of it.

Last season they were on the upswing. Harder to stay at the top than reach it.

These Panthers are very good. They look as good as when they reached the Superbowl in 2003/04. So even if the Giants lose it would be premature to write them off. But it will be very hard for them to find their magic back.
