    NFL admits blown explanation
The referee in the Steelers-Ravens game admitted after the game he blew the explanation of the TD reversal, but stands by the decision. Walt Coleman said he should have said "the ball crossed the goal line upon the reception" and not just that the "receiver had two feet in the end zone."

I thought that original explanation meant the TD was good with two feet in the end zone, and that's also why the announcers didn't challenge the play. They wern't sure of the rule.

Hearing that, no way that play should have been reversed. Credit to the posters who knew the rule 100 percent. I was wrong, but the explanation was terrible and that caused the confusion.

Some things are a little fishy.

Like Losman not protecting the ball, and ignoring the fact that he was touched and about to be sacked, when all the Bills needed to do was run out the clock. That looked like bad acting the first time I saw it, and it didn't look more convincing during replays.

thats great but doesn't give me back the money I lost on the game.

It is unreal that these people can make the errrors work for a company but don't know the rules and in the end people have money on the game and get screwed. Grant it pitt may have tied it but at least bal would have had a chance in overtime. Something needs to change the blown calls is getting ridiculous. Or maybe it is just how they want it. Screw the money then after the game and all is said and done a ref comes on and explains he made an error, sorry I didn't no the rule but stand by my call. Is something up in pittsburgh as two very grave errors have been committed with the officiating in their games the past couple weeks.

I think referees should be banished from all sports and a group of judges should make the calls, and EVERYONE can hear the conversation between them... There is too much corruption in sports these days.

I didn't think the call should have been reverse regardless of what the original call would've been. There just wasn't enough there to overturn anything.

That's just the way it goes. Win some, lose some. In any case, I was on Pitts, so who cares.
