    FF help. Thigpen or Schaub
I know this site isn't really for FF, but there are some smart football people here (and some completely incompetent ones). Im in a Semi-Final in a very competitive money league and have to start either Thigpen or Schaub at QB. It was an easy decision before I read on Rotoworld that they expect the winds to be up to 25mph in KC which could drastically lower his value... But I dont have any significant data to see how much of a hindrance this is, just memory from games ive seen where theirs a high wind/ bad weather factor, and sometimes the games end up 10-7 or 3-0 (miami v pitt. last year) and othertimes there isn't a notable difference.

Schaub on the other hand looked great before going down. He was racking up top 5 qb stats for 3 or 4 weeks in a row, then came back with a 400 yd 2 td performance last week. But hes playing Tennessee and he has a tendency to turn the ball over.

Tough one. My gut says Thigpen, but looking at the total, spread, offensive and defensive numbers for each team, I'm guessing the evidence suggests
    Schaub.

I have Schaub and Shawn Hill and I have the same problem...despite the wind factor. I went with Hill. Based on Schaub's performance earlier this year vs. Tenn and Hill's playing vs. a piss poor Miami pass D. Your situation is a bit different though. Although San Diego's pass D is equally awful. No clear cut choice as I look at those two situations. I will say Schaub easily has the better weapons to throw to and based on last week's performance on the road I would lean Schaub in your scenario.

Oh wow what a situation. I agree with you that before the wind reports Thigpen was the obvious choice and now the situation is muddled. I might still stick with Thigpen, though, as it will only be a big deal if the wind is going sideways. Assuming the wind is that bad what are the chances it will also be going perpendicular to the field?

wind is supposed to be going 24mph at about a 45 degree angle northwest.

if you're in a PPC league I'd look to schaub. he's at home against a tough run defense. I can see the titans pulling a decent lead in the beginning and schaub having to make up for it by throwing like crazy. SD's pass defense isn't that great either, but with the wind, i'd look to schaub. His first game back at home as the underdogs against a team no one thinks they can beat. All recipes for him to have another convincing performance.

Then again I have peyton and rodgers so I'm set for this week lol
