QB Alex Smith New Chief; What Will KC Give Up

According to ESPN and Fox Sports, the San Francisco 49ers have agreed to trade quarterback Alex Smith to the Kansas City Chiefs. Terms of the trade won't be announced until March 12 when the 2013 league year officially begins. How this effects the 9ners quest for a repeat Super Bowl appearance remains to be seen.

Sounds like a 2nd round pick in this years draft and a conditional pick in 2014.

49ers get the #34 pick overall this year and a 3rd rounder next year that can become a second rounder.

It's a great deal for the 49ers, but probably not a bad deal for the Chiefs either.
