#4I just dont see how the Ravens can take this one. I feel like they gave all they had last week and will come out flat. They acted like they won the Super Bowl after that game. I'd be surprised if Denver doesnt cover.Comment -

#5the spread is big, they want you to think baltimore can keep it close, but flacco and company didnt really do a ton over the colts and didnt blow them out...this game in denver and denver beat them already this year....denver by 20Comment -

#6Baltimore absolutely can keep it close, they definitely won't come out flat for a playoff game. It's actually simple, if they win the turnover margin then they cover if they don't then they won't cover.Comment -

#7Good point Bb,
Turnovers are going to be huge in this one. I'm playing Denver to cover based solely on two aspects.
First, Flacco is going to have a hard time adjusting to the pass rush that Denver can create between Dumervil and Miller - it's going to lead to rushed throws and mis-timed routes, not to mention mistakes in reading coverage (another advantage of having two vaunted pass rushers, it frees up the defense to play around disguising different defensive schemes).
Second, there are only a few NFL quarterbacks that you definitely do not want to have two weeks off to prepare for a game (Peyton, Tom - the experience of how to handle a bye week going into a playoff game is something they are both familiar with - and Aaron, although he's still young I still think he belongs in the same category). A story line that didn't see the light of day as much as it maybe should have was the fact that Peyton's arm was taking a beating until the Broncos schedule lightened up and the emergence of a running game balanced out their offense. Piece both a week off to work on routes and offensive efficiency with the fact that Manning's arm got a well deserved rest and it makes the job in front of Baltimore's aging defense cause for concern.
For me, Baltimore loses the turnover battle and their chance at covering the spread in the Mile High City.Comment -

#9Baltimore might be a good 1st half play, since Denver tends to start out slow before making adjustments and blowing teams away in the 2nd half.Comment -

But then again, counting on Flacco is a losing proposition for the last few weeks.Comment -

#11I'm backing my boys. I believe they can make it to the Super Bowl. The Ravens did not just squeak into the playoffs. Their looking to win as much as the Bronco's are looking. I'll take my chance hoping that Flacco shows up. Believe me!!!! The Defense will be there. Gl with your pick guys.Comment -

#14I´m leaning Baltimore + 6 first half.
They can keep it close, starting agressive. Now, second half is another story, a blow out can happen, but I´m a little restless about this:
"In Denver Forecasts call for 20 degree temperatures with a 20 percent chance of snow at kickoff.Manning is 0-3 in postseason games where the temperature at kickoff is below 40 degrees. In those games with the Indianapolis Colts -- including a 41-0 loss to the New York Jets in January 2003, and a pair of losses to the New England Patriots in January of 2004 and 2005 -- Manning has thrown just one touchdown to seven interceptions."Comment -

#15I have a sneaky feeling the Ravens may even win this game.
T-Suggs and that defense is physical as hell and if they get some hits on pretty boy Manning he may crumble.
if i was ravens coach i would tell my guys i dont care if u take a 15 yard penalty for a late hit... LAY THE WOOD on Manning.

#16The Ravens are well balanced on offense and more than capable of putting some points on the board.
However this game is in Denver and anytime you are playing Peyton Manning you could get your doors blow off if you arent on your game....
I will not be betting on either AFC game.
my only plays this weekend will be the the 2 home teams that are being disrespected by everyone
49ers -3 +105
Falcons -3 +110
my gut tells me either the Patriots or Broncos lose straight upComment -
