Da Broncos +5.5 at ATL, I'm liking it early

Revived offense? If Cleveland's defenders could have held on to the ball, that game would of been completely different. Cutler's stats were extremely deceiving last Thursday. I'm not saying this is not the play, but to say they will put up 30 points on a strong Falcons defense is pretty bold.

The Broncos backfield has taken an instant boost with the re-addition of Tatum Bell today. Tatum Bell a former 1,000 yard rusher with Denver in 2006 is an electrifying running back that will add more speed to this already potent offense. Atlanta will have to respect the play action if he's in the backfield because this guy can take it to the house on any given play.

Any back does well in the Denver zone blocking seem. The same Tatum Bell that got cut from the BAD Lions. Good thing you hit it at 5.5 since its up to 6.

no offense but i dont think a homers advice should be taken too seriously by anybody, not saying they wont win but ur clearly not giving a unbiased opinion here

Take it for what's it worth, but I've already pointed out why I think Denver's going to cover, it not my job to explain why the Falcons won't. Although this is a homer opinion, this is only the 2nd time I posted Denver to cover in the NFL handicapping forum so I'm obviously not just picking them to pick them. I think the +5.5 is just too good to pass against a team that can score well as denver.

Well its moved up to 6 on my book and i don't think most people will argue denver being able to put up points, but micheal turner and norwood running the ball (2nd ranked attack in the league) im not sure matt ryan is going to have to put up big numbers. Atlanta doesn't have a great defense but its not exactly a cupcake defense either, mostly due to john abraham and jamal anderson, and finally Denver really doesn't travel well if you'd like to take a look at their road games. Not trying to shoot down your pick, im just pointing out you didnt really discuss atlanta's upside much in your post. Good luck to you if you do pick denver, not sure im going to touch this game cause the lines on the move, i might if it comes back down

Atlanta held New Orleans to 1 frickin TD last game!!! yah New Orleans scored 20pts, but the last TD was a rubbish TD and the game was way over by then. I mean c'mon, holding NO, in a dome, on turf to 1 TD through 58+ minutes is pretty damn good. A thousand mile road trip, eating shitty food, and looking at ugly people couldn't even do that, and all they had to do was travel to Atlanta and get beat bad. Sorry, but Cutler ain't it. It's apparent, when you throw a pass rush in his face he gets fluttered like he's playing at Vandy again and running for his life in the pocket. Tatum Bell, you've got to be kidding me. What is he going to do, take 2 handoffs and hit the oxygen tank? He get's signed mid-week, plays for a high altitude team, and add to the fact he hasn't practiced in high altitude for at least a year. Oh yah, he'll do fine. Did you forget that Atlanta has the top rated rushing attack in the NFL this year, and they're even better at home. And will be even better when Denver, and they're porous D gives up run after run, after run with the 2-RB attack of Turner and Norwood. And one last thought. Matt Ryan actually had a legit comeback, that topped Cutler's Ed Hochuli comeback on a silver platter. Matty ice is legit. Denver has no threat at DB, no threat at LB. Atlanta has a pretty decent pass rush, and a decent secondary. I mean c'mon, they held NO to 1 TD!!!!!!!! That's like holding Kurt Warner to 200yds passing and no pass TD's.

Tell me besides the fluctuation of Jay Cutler throughout the year, why would I wanna take Denver. I see no value in them whatsoever.

I agree with manofmyth. I don't think Denver has a chance, their defense is horrible and will not be able to stop the running game of Atlanta. Plus, this is in Atlanta where they are tough to beat. I believe they are 4-0 against the spread at home. So good luck, but I believe Atalanta covers by more than a TD.

What Denver's does on defense will be irrelevant in this game. It has been the offense that won all of the games. Jay Cutler and his speedy receiving core should have the edge playing in a Dome. No wind to worry about, and the Dynamic duo of Brandon Marshall or Eddie Royal will be able make better cuts, giving them the advantage over the Falcons secondary. Cutler and Co. should be good enough to outscore the Falcons offense if they don't kill themselves, like committing 4 turnovers in each of their 4 loses.

This seems like the New Orleans game all over again...

New Orleans can score some points...So can Denver.

New Orleans not a strong team defensively. Neither is Denver.

This looks like the same game as last week to me...and I'm expecting the same results - a Falcon win and cover.
