My RB choices (3 slots): MJJ, Green-Ellis, Fred Jackson, Mendendall, Ryan Mathews, Jackie Battle.
MJJ is my #1 RB, but is facing the Bears brutal run D this week. Green-Ellis has been a solid RB2, but he's facing the top ranked Miami run D. Fred Jackson looked ok last week coming off injury but is facing a nasty SF run D. Mendenhall is coming off majory surgery and facing a solid Philly D. Then we have Mathews/Battle, who nobody knows which one will start or see the most touches against a terrible Saints run D.
Here's who I'm starting (in white):
MJJ, Mathews, Battle
MJJ is a must start no matter what the matchup every week. I still need more time to trust Mendy or Jackson coming off injuries, especially since they are facing tough games this week. Green-Ellis is a tough bench, but Miami is #1 in least rushing yards allowed and Green-Ellis is a RB2 at best anyway. It really comes down to how bad the Saints run defense has been and which one of these Charger RBs might explode, maybe both will, if they repeat last week's numbers I will be happy.
