    SD superchargers-3
prob be a pick where most like the dirty birds after they crushed their peyton manning dreams on mnf (happy to have been on atl in that one)...

dont care that sd has played mediocre teams thus far as i watched them throughout preseason and i noticed one very big thing that has held true so far, this front 7 is getting after ppl!

falcons struggle defending the edge and Ryan is a bottom of the pack qb when facing pressure which i am sure he will have a lot of in this gm, anyone notice how quick he was to get out of dodge when den ends got the edge? atl run gm hasnt really been there as of yet and i dont expect it to be good enough to slow down sd d here, screen gm with rodgers may be problematic at times but that only gonna get you so far..i love the combo of julio and white (even tho jones had a case of the dropsies on mon night) but how deep they gonna get if ryan does not have time?

on the other side of ball mathews is good and ready to go, not as if he had any sort of leg problem so i expect a full workload which is great cause i think this where you wanna attack that d atl is playing right now, den had some gaping run lanes in that gm but between their desire to throw and then subsequently being down early they really couldnt stick with it, sd wont go down early and will pound it early and often with mathews and the 2 battering rams coming off the bench which will open up play action for rivers who is back to playing like the top 8 qb he is in this league... as i said before the den game i thought atl would play inspired even with the loss of grimes which while isnt a huge deal in their base sets but is gonna be a problem when teams go 3 wide which norv will do quite a bit if not only to get atl playing that ps3 d to cover up the fact their nickle is greatly weakened then just gash them with runs with mathews..

love this atl team to compete for the nfc championship but after notching a give me road win vs the surprisingly bad chiefs and getting a huge mnf win against the overhyped broncos i think this the road gm where a little dose of reality kicks in as sd can do the things i think will cause atl to struggle..give me the home team who tends to win gms in bunches playing a team that everyone now loves a little more than they should on the road imo...lets call it 27-20 superchargers...

grabbed this one early as i think the line a little short and expect to see -3.5 before gmtime...

I like ATL and do not have a good feeling about this game. Smells like let down all the way. Some good points but its based on the premise that the Chargers can get to Ryan. This O-Line is designed for pass blocking and he has only been sacked 2 or 3 times this year. I think ATL D will have trouble with the SD Tight ends. I would take the OVER 47 before I took a side. Additionally, look at ATL's record when they go to the west coast under Mike Smith. Im telling you, for some reason they always open up a can of whoop ass. They did it to SD, OAK, SEA, and embarrassed the shit out of SF 2x years ago.

I think you're overestimating the effect the SD pass rush will have on Matt Ryan. If Dumervil & Miller could only put him down once in the second half when they were really applying heavy pressure, I'm skeptical about the Chargers overpowering the Falcons O-Line consistently enough to prevent the Falcons passing attack from being effective.

I just don't think the Chargers have shown enough yet to make me believe that they're going to win this game with authority. Grinding out a win against the Raiders on the strength of FGs and then rolling a Titans team that's looked just pathetic so far doesn't impress me.

        Bah....

Neither of these teams will score more than 3 TD's. San Diego having the home field advantage and the dominant defense tells you all you need to know.

        San Diego: 20-24
        Atlanta: 13-17

hell they were in ryans face every time he dropped back in the 2nd half, sure they didnt get lot of sacks but he tucked and ran or threw away damn near every 3rd down in the 2nd half, obviously smith being a conservative pussy didnt help matters, but either way i think the edges can be had..

not sure what you what sd to show? i mean you can only beat the teams that get put in front of you, and now they get mathews back who i think will gash this d atl running, and as much as i dont like norv as a head coach he always been a very sharp offensive mind and id expect a lot more exploiting and lot less confusion against this d this week as they try and compensate for loss of grimes (hurts nickle package a bunch)..

this may be relevant or not but to me Turner getting the dui after the gm is indicative of how big atl treated that mnf gm, something tells me he wasnt the only guy out partying, so short week of prep, extra day for hangovers, travel to left coast with feelings of superiority, leads to coming back home 2-1 imho....

ultimately who knows, i think this card a lot tougher than last weeks gifts and this the one that i happened to like a lot. ive certainly been wrong before tho...

The thing about that DEN-ATL game is that it was largely over after the Falcons scored that TD in the 3Q. Up 20, all they had to do was take care of the ball and they were going to win the game. That led to more running plays and them being more likely to just throw the ball away than try to complete tough passing plays over the field. At that point, Ryan became more of a game manager and he took care of the ball while minimizing risk. We'll see how the ATL OL holds up this week.

I think this will be the season that falcons defense finally comes to par with offense. Look for a td win at least for birds here.

Yep loving chargers in this spot, on it too. -3 isnt too steep an asking price either, i see it being juiced a bit too so youre probably right about the move to 3.5.

I think Cincinnati is my pick of the week. They beat Washington by 10. Time for a rookie performance by RG3 at home against a very disciplined defense.

Atlanta was in a very similar spot 3 seasons ago against SF...that line got steamed 3.5 points 45 min before kickoff. No reason to explain it except every wise guy in the world moved on Atlanta...35-10 at the half 45-10 final. Smith is 5-0 going to the west coast and Ryan has only been sacked twice.

id expect that sack total to double at least and far as smith on west coast id tend to think that record is unsustainable more than buying into it..no idea what a gm 3 yrs ago has to do with this gm, pretty sure 3 yrs ago sf was being coached by a retard and lost most their gms..

pretty sure i mentioned the reason den got more pressure cause they knew atl was only passing on 3rd down in the second half..sd front 7 better than atl oline so i guess we shall see, this still easiest bet of the week if you ask me but i could be wrong and unfortunate it probably wont be the last time either,,gotta say it doesnt really hurt my feelings that everywhere i discuss this gm damn near everyone vehemently disagrees ...
