Preakness betting!

Hi everyone! My first thread. I have a question about horse race betting. Two weeks ago I placed a $40.00 bet on I'll Have Another at 15-1 odds to win at the Kentucky Derby on Bookmaker! It actually paid $15.30. I won $612.00! Yesterday at the Preakness I placed a $25.00 bet on I'll Have Another at 3-1 odds to win. It paid $8.40 to win. Bookmaker claims I won $80 which would be $3.20-1. $25.00 at $8.40 is $210.00! What should be the correct amount? Thanks for any feedback!

25 dollars would of been 105.00

you win 8.40 for every 2 dollars you bet. so you have 12.5 x 8.40= 105

and in the derby he paid 32.60 not 15.30.. 15.30 would of been like 6 -1
