Basketball points spread question

I'm new to betting on points spreads.So the question is this:

If I bet the underdog (+3) and the game goes into overtime is my bet winner or it depends on the result after the OT?

Overtime periods, quarters or extra innings are counted in the final score when wagering on totals, money line and point-spreads(except in soccer).

But this isn't standard for every book, so the best suggestion is to read the house rules and regulations of the book that you're playing at to avoid any future upsets.
