Recently signed up with them and thought that was very odd also but sounds like Heritage also does it. Very weird

I always give my personal info to the babes that sound like hotties. That's all it takes! It's like they put a spell on me.

True I'd rather give my PW since they can see it anyway, if they ask for the SSN then suck me

How would you like it if you won $1000. Then someone who knows you and knows your account number calls to take out those $1000. They must also know your password and if they dont know the password they cant access your account. Or how would you like it if someone you knew or didnt know got your account number and called in to make a bet risking all the remaining balance in your account, just to F you over. They wont be able to do it because only you know your password and you must confirm the wagers with your password.
Cs reps at all those companies ask your password to make sure that they are speaking to the owner of the account. Its for your own good. DUH

Most places do for your own protection as well as theirs. You could easily come in and say it wasn't you they were speaking to or on the other note as CC said, would you want someone that has your account number being able to make changes to your account?

HOw about some secret question? or two passwords, one for online betting and one which CS can see and which is used when you talk to them? there are many ways to avoid this username/password question from certain US facing bookies. I mean, they tell us it is our responsibility to keep the password safe but you have to say it every time whenever you have some kind of question related to your account to somebody who earns few $ per hour
