question about parlays

How are odds calculated for a parlay payout? is it based upon the odds of the individual picks or just the number of plays in the parlay?

I've made a few parlays before and I think it just multiplies the odds together? I don't exactly know however. Lol that was not very useful...was it?

put the odds in decimal and you just have to multiple the odds of each game for know how many time your parley will pay you. i

for example : Team A : +100 = 2.00
Team B : +150 =2.50
Team C : +200 = 3.00

will give you 2 x 2.5 x 3 = 15 x your wager (10.00$) = 150.00$
