    Money Management Question.
    Hello All,
I have a question about money management and was wondering if I can get some help. I am using a set % of my bankroll for each bet currently 2%. My question is normally in this system I can assume that as your bankroll fluctuates you make adjustments to the amount bet.

For example if your bankroll is at $1000 you would bet 2% of that number if it dips to $750 you would than bet the corsponding 2%. I am not trying to come off as slow or anything I have had trouble with money management for many years. Now that I seem to be able to better control the uger to bet $50 on one game and $150 on another I would like to make sure I am doing this correctly.

    Thanks for the replies,

    Jeremiah L Stennett

Yes you should probably decrease according to your total bankroll, but don't think negative be positive and think about a what level will you increase you bet according to your bankroll.

I believe this is what you are thinking, but to be clear, I would suggest you increase at certain levels, and not with every bet. Perhaps say, a unit = 2%, but always rounded down to the nearest $5 increment if moving up, and rounded up if your bankroll is moving down. This would help with variance and keep you from betting too much because you were "hot," or not betting enough after a cold streak, which would make you slower at getting back to where you were.

So for example, if you start with $1000, your bet would be $20. You would move to $25 when your bankroll reaches $1,250, or down to $15 if your bankroll dipped to $750.

      Good luck to you!

I wager a fixed percentage of my roll and adjust each day. This has been working for me the last few months. Slow and steady......

The less you bet the better...use 1 -2% no more, and balance once a week

I think your idea is OK, JStennet. Better go slower than overdo yourself. Plus read a lot of stuff in Think Tank. You will find advanced questions and answers about BR management there.
