Confusing odds betwen "Over 2.5" and "Over 3.0"

Hi! I'm new at betting and I have a question about Soccer odds about total goals f the match.
Does "Over 2.5" means that both teams have to score together 3 goals or more for me to win?
If that is so,what does "Over 3.0" mean?And what's the difference betwen them?
