what does limit collar mean

hi guys, i have been betting for a a month or two now and found this site only to discover the site i was using has a D- grade.... anyways wanted to pick a new one but was curious what is meant by the term limit collar. can someone please explain what that is? thanks

I'm under the impression that it means that if you win too much they will significantly reduce the amount they'll let you wager.
