    what is a juice?
does it only apply for the fav?

is the juice subtracted from the winning amount or the winning amount is already juiced?

    need clarification with example.

btw, which sportsbook has a low juice?

I believe this is correct: it applies to both favs and dogs. It's the price you pay for giving or taking the points. You only pay if it you lose. Typical example is a $100 wager. San fran was -1.5 at -110 last night. You have to lay down 110 to win 100. They covered the spread and you win 110. If you took Arizona at +1.5 for -110 you would lose 110. Someone let me know if I'm wrong.

Juice is the bookies commission that comes out of a winning ticket. Say you bet $110 and win. Instead of getting the full amount you risked back ($110), you only get $100 back in winnings, with $10 being the juice. You can get low juice at 5 Dimes, BetPhoenix (I hear, I don't have an account with BP), and at betting exchanges like Matchbook.

                            best juice

Quick question... I may have missed it but does every sport carry the same amount or does it vary by sport? By website? Which ones have the lowest ones? Thanks. Very new and just getting my fet wet.

5dimes offers reduced lines, which has less juice than "regular" lines.

As said above, juice is how much the sportsbook makes off of you, only on a losing bet.

                                  So if you bet -110...

You bet $110 to win $100, so the extra -10 would be the juice. If you win, you win your $100 and get $110 back, so you win the bet and get the juice back. However, if you lose, you lose $110, thus the sportsbook gets your juice.

Most lines are pretty similar, however, if you look around, different sportsbooks will have different juice on different events. Id recommend having a few sportsbooks, just so you can shop around for the best line, however, if you want just one, which seems like it makes sense if you are just starting out...like i said above, try 5dimes. Their "bonus" is reduced lines, so instead of -110, you get like -105 or something around there. It saves you alot of money in the long run. Its applied to every spread/moneyline of pretty much every sport, and is offered on the day of the game.
