Are there any maximums?

Hey All, Thanks for letting me be a part of this great community.

I just wanted to see when playing in vegas or online, if there are any max bets? I'm pretty new to betting, but wanted to know if there is a max to put down per game.

10k, 20k, 50k, 100k?

It depends on the sport, and when you bet it.

On a typical NFL game near game day, most books will take 10k+ on a side, 3k+ on a total.

College is much tighter. 3-5k limits on a side is normal, and 1-2k in a total. Books will take more if they have an imbalance.

If you want to bet big at a good number, you really need both offshore outs, and ways to get down in Vegas.
