    sportsbook bonus rollover
Is there a good FAQ on how rollover works either on this site or somewhere else on the web? I've tried the search function in the upper right but wasn't able to find much.

      Hi Hawkeye,

      General concept of rollovers
There are different rollover (play-through) rules depending on the bonus but if you understand the general idea, you'll be able to make sense of them. With most cash bonuses (as opposed to free-plays) it's simple... Your rollover is the amount of times you must bet throgh your deposit amount + bonus. For example, a 20% cash bonus on a $100 deposit with a 3x rollover would be $120 x 3 = $360. $360 is how much you need to risk in total before requesting funds.

      Rare fine print
There are some books that put restrictions on what counts as rollover such as baseball moneylines not counting. This is rare and a good book will make any non-standard rules jump off the page so you aren't confused.

      Freeplay rollovers
A freeplay is cash to bet on your plays that goes away after it's risked. A $500 freeplay bet and lost means you lose the books bonuse money only. A winner that returns $450 means you only get the $450 return and the freeplay is used up. To new players freeplays are worth about half of the value of what they would be if they were cash bonuses with the same rollover.

A freeplay works the same way but a handful of books use the winnings from the freeplay + deposit as the amount needed to rollover. ecample: 100 FP on clippers moneyline returns $300. I deposited $100 initially. In this case I would need to apply the rollover amount to $400.

This can be a stinger if the player wins a big moneyline dog before reading these rules. Another somewhat rare but known rule to accompany free-plays is that certain large moneylines or moneylines in general may not be applicable to the rollover.

Thanks for the clear and concise response Bill.

What if I don't clear the rollover and go busto? At this point since there are no funds in the account, rollover is reset before my next deposit right? I'm assuming yes but just wanted to confirm.

Also, how do I track rollover requirements? Is it up to me to track how much I've wagered (in my spreadsheet) or do sites typically allow you to see this in the cashier / acct mgmt page?

        Thanks again!

Once your balance zeros out the rollover is done. A new rollover may be riquired if you accept a reload bonus. You should be able to track your wagers/history in the cashiers section.
