    Howdy All! And a couple questions . . .
Hows it goin? Im brand new to SBR, and to sports betting as well. I do have some experience betting on the ponies, so at least Im not a total noob

    Ok, a couple general questions:

    - Is "juice" a percentage of your wager, or a set amount? Im assuming its the former, but I want to be sure I understand it properly.

-I understand that spreads can/will be adjusted to try and balance out the money on each side of a wager; what I am not clear on is, if I place a wager at a given spread, am I "locked in" to that price, or, if the spread changes does my wager change along with it?
Example-assume I bet New York at -6, and closer to game time the spread is adjusted to -7. Does my wager stand at -6, or does it change?
(This is one of the main reasons Im looking to bet sports other then horse racing; nothing is more annoying then betting a horse at 5-1, and then have a bunch of late action drop the odds to 3/2 by the time the gate opens . I know WHY that happens, but that doesnt mean I have to LIKE it . . .)

    TIA for your responses

Juice is the commission of the bet that the sportsbook or bookie takes for profit. Take the over/under on a game as an example, typically they will both be priced at -110. The (-110) means that for every $110 you bet you will win $100, the extra $10 will go to the bookmaker as a commission.

And yes, your hypothetical New York (-6) would be locked in at -6 even if the line moves from the time you placed your wager up until game time.

I see , so the juice is factored into the price. Cheers!
