    New to Vegas
    I plan on visiting vegas for the first time this fall to bet on college football.

    do they offer money lines on heavy favorites like online sportsbooks do?

    I'm talking -1400 up to -2000 or more. and do they lower the betting limits when a team Is a heavy favorite?

    I want to take a favorite like -2000 and put down 10k or more on them.

    thanks

    Welcome! I am new as well and unfortunately I don't have the answers to your questions. However, I too am curious about how the moneyline works in Vegas.

          Why not? I've been doing it online for a couple years now. I want instant payouts.....so that means vegas.

            Because one day you will lose one and wipe out a whole lot of money.

            I guess if it works for you then by all means, keep it up.

            Just know that the massive juice CFB bettor gets buried more often than not.

              I kind of have a question regarding casinos too: do they offer live lines at the shop? For sports event or maybe just during big ones

                Buddy of mine was doing that last season at Hilton (LVH/Westgate). Never had a problem, even had a special line for dime players. Don't waste your time at any of the Station Casinos. They do not post heavy moneylines.

                Hilton does on selected games. You are way better off with a good online source for live betting. Missed a few bets standing in line. If you have a cell or tablet, you can use it to get your bets in while sitting at the sportsbook. Not sure about their official policy, but nobody ever said anything to me and I was not the only one doing it. I was making plenty of bets at the book, so maybe that's why they did not have a problem with it.

                  @spro23

                  -2000 upsets do happen which is why I never play big money on them (it only takes one loss to destroy you). With that said, I see Vegas casinos take those bets all the time. If you think about it why would they not? A $200 payout here and there is a good investment for a casino when one of those upsets eventually happens.
