I am from central Europe and I have some background in finance and financial modeling. For some time I have been fascinated with the idea of making money in sport betting. I read the book by Elihu Feustel which referred me to this forum. I have been reading some content on this site and forum also. I also started reading the book by Joseph Buchdahl (I think he runs these websites offering football and tennis data) and two books on speed handicapping horses by Andrew Beyer.
I want to build some models in R. Thinking of some probit prediction models or similar. Not sure about which sport. Maybe tennis or F1. Or football (soccer). Or horses. Yet to decide.
Contact me if you have a good idea for a model to share. Maybe we can work together.
