So I just made my first wager on a online sports betting websites and won. I dont know much about spreads and points so I just bet on moneyline. Am mostly into football and basketball, and I cant firgure out how the points and spreads work?.. so my question is... is there a website where I can see how it works?... ive googled and searched but the websites I come up with are useless.

Spreads are basically just handicaps but with higher odds than moneyline for favourites and lower odds than moneyline for underdogs. E.g Moneyline for favourites, let's say lakers, to beat Brooklyn nets can be at -325 and Brooklyn to win could be at +250. If the scoreline is Lakers 115 vs Brooklyn 111.
A spread of minus 3 for Lakers means the scoreline for lakers will be reduced by 3 which gives 112. In this case you still win your bet or plus 3 for Brooklyn which gives 114 but you lose instead.Comment
