Gentlemen, tell me the impact of this Kendall Marshall injury.
North Carolina versus Ohio.
If he is healthy, what would the line have been?
Assuming he won't play, what will the line be?

He will not be healthy- he has a fractured wrist and will try to play with a soft cast.
He will probably be out for the Ohio U game- they won't need him to win that game.
The line won't be adjusted that much for that game.
The Kansas game will be a bigger line move.
UNC is still better than Kansas even if he is hurt.
Kansas just can't shoot well enough to score enough points to stay with UNC.

This game with Ohio to me will be fascinating in that I expect everyone to play it one way or another - either thinking the Marshall injury will hurt UNC or that they think Ohio is a nobody and that it won't matter. I'd much rather save my money if I'm betting on or against UNC for the Elite 8 [if they make it]. Bottom line is you don't know how the game is going to go in light of this injury + the four/five days UNC now has to work some sort of game plan to replace Marshall ... or see if for some ridiculous reason that he would try to play. I think the line and the total in this game are 100% avoid for me.
I do think he might try to play if they make the Regional Final.

I agree that this is a more interesting game w/ Ohio now. Ohio is one of the best teams in the nation at forcing turnovers. So I'm sure they'll be pressing UNC most of the game since they can't match up w/ them in the halfcourt. I would expect Watts to see most of the time at point...mainly to match up with Cooper on the defensive end. If Carolina can lock down defensively I could still see them getting to the Final Four. They have a tendency to lose focus sometimes knowing that Marshall can push it even on made baskets. The margin of error just got a lot smaller without all those easy scores.

Thanks for the feedback, guys.
It looks like North Carolina opened around a 10.5 point favorite, and is down to 10. I would've thought it may have been a little lower, so I guess the impact really isn't felt in this game.
I was hoping to have a nice opportunity to grab them on the ML, but the line is higher than I had hoped.

Marshall is the most important player on any team in the NCAA this year. Have you seen his backup play?
Wont matter much vs Ohio, but if he is not healthy they will not win the next game
